There is an interprovincial trade agreement allowing for the free movement of persons, goods, services, and investments within Canada. Therefore, a worker certified for a trade, or other occupation, in one province or territory is recognized as being qualified for that trade by all other provinces and territories in Canada.
Apprenticeship Manitoba assesses the credentials of workers looking to work in the Manitoba compulsory trades only. Individuals working in these compulsory trades and who have a Red Seal endorsement on a valid Certificate of Qualification, or equivalent credential, are able to apply using the Certificate of Recognition Application Form to have credentials recognized in order to work in Manitoba.
To receive confirmation of credentials, you must submit a copy of your credentials with your application. After the application has been processed and credentials have been confirmed, you will receive a letter of recognition.
